PURPOSE
-------

Cpuinfo Is a little tool that provides a portable interface to obtain a
subset of the informations contained in the Linux/i386 /proc/cpuinfo file.

It is supposed to replace the standardization of this file in the first
LSB1.1 draft.


INSTALLATION
------------
Type 'make' in the current directory and copy 'cpuinfo' to /usr/local/bin


LIMITATIONS
-----------
Currently only the architecture-dependand code for Linux/i386 has been written.
The build-process is suboptimal.
